Uber UX

 Heuristic Evaluation:

1) Aesthetic and Minimalist Design:

        - Interfaces should not contain information which is irrelevant or rarely needed. Every extra unit of information in an interface competes for the users' focus.

        - The home page is cluttered with multiple service options for the user, such as "delivery, ride, packages".

        - rating-1 cosmetic

        - recommendation- these options should be accessed from a drop-down menu to not distract users on the home page.

2) Flexibility and Efficiency of Use:

        - Shortcuts--hidden from novice users--may speed up the interaction for the expert users such that the design can cater to both inexperienced and experienced users. Allow users to tailor frequent actions.

        - The uber app offers lots of options for flexibility: choosing a a ride "now" or using the calendar to select a future date (up to 90 days).

        - The app also offers the user to store frequently used pickup and drop-off locations.

            This is a positive use.

3) User Control and Freedom:

        - The user needs a clearly marked "emergency exit"

        - If the user made a mistake, they can choose to cancel their reservation

        - This is a positive use

4) Visibility of System Status:

        - The design should always keep users informed about what is going on, through appropriate feedback within a reasonable amount of time.

        - The Uber app shows a map with the current location of the uber driver. This allows the user to know exactly when their ride will arrive.

        - This is a positive use.

5) Error Prevention:

        - The best designs carefully prevent problems from occurring in the first place.

-When cancelling a ride, a pop-up appears and the user must select "cancel reservation" or "Don't cancel" This prevents the user from accidentally canceling a reservation.
